It is required that on all primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, producers must indicate the nature of the packaging materials used for identification and classification purposes, based on Commission Decision 97/129/EC.
On November 21, 2022, Ministerial Decree No. 360 of September 28, 2022, was published, adopting the Guidelines on the environmental labeling of packaging by responsible parties. For greater simplification, packaging is grouped into homogeneous categories and described with an image or a general description (e.g., pallets, straps, films…), along with the corresponding material coding (according to Decision 97/129/EC).
